The Electrolyte Leak Test System-MSQ2000

At present, there are usually two methods for testing the airtightness (leakage) of battery cells: one is VOC detection method; One is helium mass spectrometry detection method. The common problem with VOC testing method is that the test results are very unstable, have high environmental requirements, and are often interfered by non electrolyte VOC gases, leading to misjudgment. The helium mass spectrometry detection method requires helium to be pressurized (or filled) in advance, and due to the relatively light nature of helium, it may rise to the upper part of the product in the electrolyte, and the gaps in the lower part may not be detected.

The MSQ1000 gas analysis instrument based on mass spectrometry perfectly solves this problem! By ionizing the sample gas molecules and making them charged, when the charged ions pass through the mass separator, only the useful target ions are sent to the detector, which greatly improves the anti-interference performance! In other words, our mass spectrometry is used to analyze gas composition, which means substances with mass numbers ranging from 1 to 100 can be tested in one go. You can test whichever you care about, or you can skip scanning or scan a section if you don’t. For example, if we were to detect light, VOC would say: “There is light, what is the intensity; The mass spectrometer says: There is light, it is divided into multiple colors, in this order. What is the intensity of each color? Which color or colors of light do you want to test? I can block the others!

MSQ2000 is a mobile testing platform that includes MSQ1000, sampling system, auxiliary pump, and carrier.

Main Performance Parameter:

· Min detectable leak rate:  <1.0E-7mbar.l/s (helium-equivalent leak rate*)
· Leak rate unit:  mbar.l/s
· Mass number range:  0-100
· Detectable electrolyte:  DMC, EMC, DEC, PP, etc.
