Our History
On a summer day in July 2005, a few young people decided to set up a company, and set the company’s name as the Chinese “上腾”, Chinese phonetic is “Shangteng”. “Shang” takes the English paraphrase is UP, and “teng” takes the English transliteration is TENG, which is combined together as UPTENG, remove the last letter G, that is UPTEN, and then change the letter “E” to “O”, and finally get the company’s English name “UPTON”, since then, the UPTON era has been opened!
2005
Upton was established in Guangzhou, marking the beginning of its growth in the field of intelligent equipment!
2006
The introduction of CTS leak test instruments into China has led to the flourishing development of pressure decay leak test technology on the Chinese land.
2011
Upton Automation Systems (Kunshan) Co., Ltd. was established, improving the speed and quality of customer service in East China.
2014
The helium leak test system of power battery cells was successfully delivered.
2019
Upton Automation System (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd. was established, and the instrument department was spun off, and an independent company - Upton Technology (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd. was established
2020
The Kunshan company moved to the new headquarters R&D base, and the following year, the Nanjing factory began operation.
2021
The CNAS calibration laboratory of Guangzhou Upton was accredited by the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS) and operates independently.
2023
The Gas Mass Spectrum Analyzer MSQ1000 successfully developed, and the tightness of pouch cells was successfully solved by directly testing the electrolyte composition, and the project was successfully accepted
2025
An overseas service center was established in Heidelberg, Germany, to bring the company's production lines, equipment and instruments to the European market.
